Neil Mapletoft, Perrott Hill School

Challenge:

Perrott Hill school were moving from an “in house” computer support system to an outsourced solution with less input from staff employed at the school. The school was looking to continue with its system being highly available to staff, students and residential staff alike but wanted the reassurance of a local reliable company to assist with the day to day management of the network who were prepared to work alongside the it staff at the school.

Solution:

Labyrinth spent extended periods of time with staff at the school to audit the network and look for areas in which simplification and enhancements could be made. Labyrinth also set up remote monitoring to ensure backups and systems were enabled for swift response to questions and problems. A temporary contract was commenced in order to assess the schools actual requirement and was reviewed after the first term and altered according to need.

Outcome:

“We are delighted with the support that Labyrinth has given the school since our move from the ‘in house’ support to an outsourced solution. All of the Labyrinth team are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. We have had to make some changes to the system to ensure its stability and Labyrinth have been on hand to provide the necessary advice that fits in within our budget.”
